Got this e-mail today:

Hey Art how the hell are you? I love the PD site. I am a huge fan of yours. Keep up the good work. I am keeping score! See you soon. I cannot believe you guys finally figured out who Milo is! Wow impressive...you must have spies everywhere.

Yeah, I've got fans. Sure I do. Don't hold your breath waiting for a reply "infoman tracker." Heads up kids, the loonies are on full alert.

Is that what the infoman tracker e-mail was? I didn't recognize the sender, there was no subject, it was marked as spam, and it was deleted unopened.

Isn't that what most people do with unsolicited emails from unfamiliar parties?

What a bunch of dramaqueens over there.

Got something very similar...sender was:

infoman tracker

The bizzare part is that I don't think you can get to my e-mail account unless you have access to my profile. To the best of my knowledge I've never given out hte address in a posting.

The only ones who have my e-mail address that I use most often is the moderators. And since we all seem to have gotten it except for IHave, clearly he's the originator.

I've emailed Pilchesky from that address a few times, so it's not beyond reason that someone over there could have sent it, but why? What did they think would happen, I'd be so flattered I'd ask Lus to make them a moderator? Go out drinking with them? Offer my eldest daughter?

I don't even think it's that.

I don't think it's Joe, I don't think it's anyone trying to "send a message".

It's a just simple bot that farms addresses, and nothing more. Mark it as spam, and you'll probably not be bothered by it again.

Too many conspiracy theories going on around here lately.

Joe and his followers are spooked and nervous about something, that's for sure. It's probably just time for their meds to be adjusted. I don't really think it's anything we're doing as a group.

Ignore the rhetoric and just mark their e-mails as spam. Life's too short for this nonsense.

I know someone posted a welcome to me in another thread, glad to be here.

Didn't want ya'll to think I was a one time poster and ran away. I was out of town all last week - time to get the youngin's back to school and these message boards are way down on the priority list when it comes to family.

I sorta feel like the last kid picked for dodge ball - I never got the "magic" email. Maybe I did recieve it, dd you have to use your special Joey DD decoder ring to decode the email? Plus - Joey said the admin over here was given away IP addresses like candy, again I never did recieve an IP Address or candy. What gives?

In catching up on the road kill graffitti down the hall, I noticed a lot of the regulars are lying low and the newbies are pretty docile so far.

Oh, and welcome back FormerDrunken. Regarding the e-mail, I'm thinking you should consider yourself lucky. As for what serial-plaintiff Pilchesky said about Lus, well, consider the source. He's all in a snit because he lost another one, Minora was mean to Edith, McDowell is headed for victory, etc. Nothing that a good round of lawsuit filings couldn't fix.
