Read the news today that the prison warden is leaving for a job in Moissouri. As much as I'd like to believe that it was connected to the prison birth scandel, it's very unlikely. Imagine the compressed time frame of making travel plans to Missouri, interviewing for the job, finding a place to live and announcing your resignation.
The baby was born in the early morning hours of July 10.
The story hit the newspaper on July 14.
The outrage followed in the coming days - reaching a peak on about July 18 or 19.
So we,re supposed to believe that the warden found a position she was interested in halfway across the country, made travel arrangements, went there, interviewed, was offerred and accepted the position all in about 20 days?
It's possible, but not likely. Of course there's no convincing anyone at dd.com that anything short of the scandal lead to her resignation. EvilTim
Lackawanna Co. Prison Warden Leaving the State The warden has announced she is leaving her position at the prison Sept. 1 for a better paying job in Missouri. County commissoners say her leave is not related to the birth of the baby but because it pays better. LOLOL, love the lies they tell to cover their mistakes!
The warden accepted a better paying job? And a promotion? In her field? Far away from PA? I am shocked. SHOCKED that she would do such a thing.
That's one hell of a guilty conscience, boy. If she wasn't feeling guilty, she would have stayed put and not tried to better herself or her family. Wait, then she'd be like the typical DD poster. Stuck in a rut and happy about it.
It's a f*cking career move, RetardTim! Not having a career of your own, you wouldn't understand, but when a better opportunity comes up, especially in your field, you take it.
I work in the Human Resources department of my employer, and while I'm not involved in recruitment, I have peers who work almost excuslively on filling management to executive vacancies. Filling a professional position (such as a Prison Warden) can take months. This simply isnt' something that can be done in in three or four weeks. In addition to a series of interviews, the hiring process no doubt also involves extensive background checks. So, if Warden Donate was looking for a new job, it's very likely that she's been at it since the early part of the year. If she was contacted by a headhunter/placement firm, then maybe the process has been going on since May or so.
Bottom Line: Anyone who thinks that Warden Donate left just because of the prison birth episode (as disgusting as it was...) is simply a MORON.

Well put Ag. It would have to be an emergency hire by an old buddy or something crazy like that. Very doubtful. And yes, the prison birth was a disgrace. Wreaks of Abu Ghraib - yet Munchak makes Bush look like a Mensa member.
