Yep, I also heard something similar, I also heard that the police force is not too happy with mrs evans eithr, seems she had some things to say about them baing told who to target in the city, and get this one this is the best SAM REPRESENTED HIMSELF, must be taking lessons from the old man himself... but correct me if i am wrong, did'nt sam mention at that particular meeting, that he called his lawyer on the phone, I bet it was JOe that he called, any thoughts

Well Ducky if you remember ... Joe offered his services to Sam ... I personally would not have taken the chance of representing myself ... if I remember correctly ... there is a good bit of jail time that could be involved here ...

As far as Janet ... well I don't find it surprising at all that she may have testified on Sam's behalf. But if it turns out that they ever prove that she is the DumbBlonde ... well then it's going to come back and bite her in the ass ... because when we go back over some of the racist posts at DD ... well she has made more than her fair share of racist rants ...

I have been watcing the antics of the council speakers for a long time now and I know that Jim Davis accused Judy of being a racist ... all because she condemed Jim's Aunt's run down house which was no longer fit for human habitation ... but I never once heard them speak as racists ... So where is Janet coming up with stuff if she did testify?

Did Janet show up in court wearing her do-rag -- or was today the day for braids and beads?? Because they were having a special the other day at Hook A Sista Up. Anyone through the door with a white woman got an extra length of weave - two if she was a blonde.

Just read the Times article about the hearing. Janet Evans has no shame. "They referred to him as that black guy," she claimed from the witness stand. Dear Lord, is she out of her mind? Perjury?

Sam Patilla is known for many things beyond his color, mostly for being unstable. I'm sure every member of council knows him by name and refers to him by name. Council members are referring to Patilla as "the black guy" no more than they refer to Pilchesky as "the bald guy."

The "angry guy" and the "serial plaintiff" maybe.

She can't go away fast enough for me.

Janet Evans, you suck.

Nothing demonstrates the failure of our current council better than Evans being more than willing to throw her colleagues under the bus and charge them with racism and antagonizing the speakers.

No point taking the opportunity to maybe try and smooth things out and make an effort to work WITH everyone else for the betterment of the city. Nope, better to burn bridges and sell everyone else out and highlight the fact that she's been an obstacle for progress in the city for years, is NOT working for the people, and the least effective counciperson in recent memory.

Well played Janet! We couldn't destroy your career better if we tried.

Heard comments about this on the council re-run last night. Apparently she has heard some people refer to Sam as "...that black guy with the dredlocks that speaks at council...". What makes that such a big deal? He IS black, isn't he? He DOES have dredlocks, doesn't he? Oh, and he DOES do a little more than just speak at council.
Stating the obvious, doesn't make it a racial slur.

Hell - I've heard her referred to manymanymany times as "that latte-drinkin', dye-job blonde, lily-white pain in the ass". (oh wait - that was me saying all that)

But again - stating the obvious. Am I slurring all blondes? Am I slurring all coffee drinkers? Am I slurring all dyed-in-the-wool blondes? Am I slurring all white women? No - on all counts -- just one in particular.

No. No, it's not his right anymore. When his right to sue infringes on my right to a speedy trial, he's overstepped his limit, and his "right" no longer applies.

I agree with you on that Paul ... it's a shame that he is tying up the court system ... and I do think he should be paying and should have been paying all along ... the costs have got to be astronomical at this point ... I just don't get why they bitch about their taxes ... yet they think it's ok to go to court over this nonsense on a weekly basis ... and when you think about it he is affecting all taxes ... city ... county ... and state ... I'm personally tired of it and would really like to know what the cost of this is.
