I remember you posting at DD.com that you only purchased 300 campaign signs and that you would personally see that they were taken down after the election.
Well, the election has been over for a month or so, and I'm still seeing your signs everywhere. I think part of the problem is that you choose to use sings that were stapled to telephone poles. They're a lot harder to remove than the yard signs.
Could you please live up to your promise and canvas the areas that you placed signs in and have them removed? Thery are quite unsightly.
There are only 300 of them, it shouldn't be that difficult to get them all. One day, tops. Maybe we can make a list and I'm sure he'll follow up on it. I know there are a few on the expressway heading from the notch towards Scranton. They're stapled to road signs, I believe. Honestly, though, I barely notice them. I didn't notice them much prior to the election, either.
But to be fair, it's not just him. I've seen signs for judges that are now faded to the point that the name is barely readable.
RE: Signs on the Highway?? Please let me assure you that any item with my name on it will be gone within 24 hours (to the best of my ability, anyway) and disposed of properly. If I miss anything, kindly contact me and I will promptly have the rogue sign(s) removed.
But to be fair, it's not just him. I've seen signs for judges that are now faded to the point that the name is barely readable. Just trying to hold the guy to his word. I've seen a lot of them in Green Ridge and North Scranton, a few in Mid-Valley. No excuse for the judges either, but they didn't make a public declaration that they would remove the signs within 24 hours either.
Well, Art, I removed all thesigns that I myself put out. As for the signs on the poles, I don't really know where they were placed, because someone else took them from my office and put them out without giving me exact locations. When I see them, I take them down. The ones I stapled have been removed. Archbald, Olyphant, Jessup, Jermyn, and Mayfield were done. Dickson City signs I can only do when there is no traffic, because stopping on Main Street is a real bitch and I don't want to get run over. So when there's no one behind me, I do a drive-by rip.
Every day, there are a few more in my trunk. The Olyphant garbage truck can attest to this.
And if that's not good enough for you, kiss my ass. I'm not a political candidate anymore. I don't have to pander anymore.
Oh OK, I guess I'll just haver to kiss your ass. I wasn't asking you to pander dickwad, I was asking you to fulfill your promise.
Thanks for exposing your true lack of commitment and character to us. Classic dd.com excuse - it was someone's else's fault. Incorrect. They're your signs, they're your problem. Stay classy!

Glenn, you still have a sign stapled to a telephone pole at the corner of Cemetery St and S. Washington Ave in Jermyn, right on the Jermyn-Archbald border. Also, I have noticed many of your signs in other locations I can't recall.

I guess he doesn't plan on any future runs for political office. I generally don't vote for people who tell me to kiss their ass. Which is too bad, because otherwise, I would vote for Glenn.

He was only willing to pander to you while he was running for office. You may now proceed directly to kissing his ass.
He'll let us know when to expect pandering again in the near future. He's off pandering duty until at least next year as I don't believe he's planning a write in campaign for the general election.
Art, don't be so bitter. You're starting to sound more and more like certain other people all the time.
I was originally being tongue-in-cheek with the "kiss my ass" comment, but I guess I should remove any trace of light-heartedness from the post, since I sincerely believe you can, in fact, kiss my ass now. I told you I was getting the signs and I'll get the signs.
Damn. Now there go all those votes for my future campaigns.
I generally don't vote for people who tell me to kiss their ass.
Oh, I bet you do on a yearly basis. They just do it indirectly by disregarding your best interests as a taxpayeror by not showing up for their jobs.
ALL the political signs that are still out irritate me- what pisses me the most is when I'm out scouting for "FOR SALE" signs, I rush right over to it and it's a Cordaro sign. Not only am I disappointed that the house isn't for sale, but now, I've got that little throw-up taste in my mouth.
And Glenn, if it came down to giving either Cordaro or you the proverbial old butt-smooch, you're IT !
I'm not bitter at all, quite lighthearted and happy actually.
I clearly stated that I will kiss your ass.
I get the joke and ran with it.
Sometimes having a James Watt moment can be unsettling, I understand your frustration. Now that you've posted something that not everyone on the web will take as a joke, or accept as an appropriate comment from someone who sought public office, you'll probably think twice about shooting your mouth off again.
Too bad for us - we'll miss your zany brand of humor.

Not only am I NOT going to think twice, I'm getting rid of the opinion filter altogether.
Love Doug Miller's fauxhawk, by the way. Almost beats the gold pajamas.
Come on, I never asked you to cut your wrists. I may have asked Glenn, he's a lawyer, ask him. Might be tough to get him though, he's busy taking down some of his 300 election signs.
The 300 signs (well, 296 of them) are gone. These are the pole signs. Different animal. Maybe I'll take a ride around tonight. Maybe not. Depends on my mood.
I would NEVER cut my wrists. That could hurt. I would take a lot of pills and washthem down with some peppermint schnapps. But why kill myself? Better just to pack the car and move before such a drastic step, no?
Glenn ... if I see any in my neighborhood I will remove them ... if that's alright with you?
I hate them as much as anyone else ... but in all fairness yours are not the only ones still out there ... Lee Morgan has not removed his and there are some out there for the judges ... Cordaro ... etc..... on and on.

Don't take it wrong Art ... I'm not busting your balls ... really I'm not ... I have been wanting to rip them down for a while!

Ok ... I didn't want you to think I was busting on you Art!

Actually, Iclosed for the day at 4 and went on a nice20-mile bike ride up to Carbondale and back. I'm feeling a lot less cranky now so I'll probably take a ride around later tonight and grab a bunch.
Lu, if you would be so kind...appreciated.
By the way, the Jermyn sign on Washington was left there intentionally. An old Republican grudge, if you will...
