Was that Mrs Hubbard Danny Boy's mommy? Either way, she is yet another speaker that makes Scranton a laughingstock. Jeff Foxworthy would never run out of material for his act if he came to Scranton and watched a council meeting. Old Mother Hubbard was at the podium complaining about litter and about two teenagers involved in some PDA at the playground, yet in the same sentence she says that she is sitting at the playground SMOKING. Nothing irks me more than when I take my son to a playground and some inbred uneducated jackass is standing therte blowing smoke around a CHILDREN'S playground. Personally, while litter also irks me as well as people who are into PDA, those things will not affect children as adversely as carcinogen-laced, cancerous cigarette smoke. Even more so when some kids are asthmatic.
I'm always tempted when I see some puke smoking around children to just walk up to them and snap their cancer stick in half.

That goes to prove their mentality as do as I say but not as I do. They want everything to be the way they want it but if you step on their toe they scream bloody murder.
The funny thing is when you meet one of the regulars in oerson or you talk to someone who is clearly a doherty hater they are very non confrontational. I was at Jacks Draft House when I overheard some guys arguingthe restore the pride campaing. The guy who was callikng it a joke had the typical DD responses. Then one guy metioned a city he used to live in. Talked about its problems,. I mentioned how I get to Scranton about 4 times a year anymore but when I do come back I can SEE the positive changes.Hehad nothing to say after talking to him in person. I beton a keyboard he would have argued all night long.

Funny thing is I actually met Mrs. Hubbard a few weeks ago. Very nice woman. I'd describe her as delightfully clueless - and I mean no disrespect by that. She was pleasant, talkative, opinionated and really without a clue. I enjoyed my chat with her. We openly disagreed on many topics, and she wasn't at all crazed or rabid. This business with her some may have her a bit riled up, but if you met her you probably come away with a similar impression to what I had.
I'd say she was dd.com or LOD to the lightest degree possible. IMHO.
