Now I'm not so naive as to think that Mr DeNaples is a big huggable teddybear of a guy, but come on now, they have turned this guy into Tony Soprano.

Newsflash: if he really were 'mobbed up' doesn't anyone think that there just might have been, like, some federal charges filed by now? I know, according to the brain-trust that is Anti/Milo/et all, DeNapes is part of the grand IBM (damn, I meant ICN) - Jesuit - Scranton Times Conspiracy - Illuminati - Rothchilds - Skull and Crossbones conspiracy, but are we to believe that said conspiracy reaching all the way into the FBI? If so, then Mr DeNaples is clearly such a powerful guy as to outstrip even the most successful New York mobsters, all of whom eventually end up in jail or constantly under indictment. Funny though, no RICO statute indictments against him so far.

As is typical in the real world (as opposed to the Land of Oz/Pilchesky), the truth about Mr DeNaples is probably far more boring that the fantasy created by others. I don't know the man...never met him...but my take is that this is a guy in a rough and tumble business who made his money the hard way...one buck at a time. Saint? Hell no; in fact I'd go so far as to say that he has probably had some under the table deals that would make the boys at Halliburton blush. But there's a difference between being a businessman who has most likely cut a few (okay, a lot) of corners in his life and someone who has been morphed into the epitome of evil incarnate. Just one more example of small people wanting to be superheroes by creating supervillians.

One last thought...if they guy really were really that mobbed-up, don't you think that some of his critics (including Mr Bolus, for example) would be waking up to find the occasional horse head in their beds every now and then? I think Mr Bolus has accused Mr DeNaples of everything BUT being a mafia don.

Ag I think he did accuse him of being a Mafia Don ...

When others do well in life ... it means they must be corrupt ... or they must be Mafia (Italian) there must be some reason ... it can't be about making good choices.

Jealousy rears it's ugly head ... which one of Them Pilchesky included would not buy what they wanted if they had the money to buy it?

Just a simple question don't you think!

another quick observation:

Which one of them would not get their child a job if they were in the position to do so ... and their child needed a job?

I don't think there would be many who would not ... just another bit of fuel for the jealousy fire ... hmmmmm
