Joe clearly states in this thread that the Union News is a free publication. He even used the word "free".

RE: Joe, you taking an ad out again in the Union News?
Mr. Tucker of the Union News puts out a very nice publication. More and more people are turning to it for stats you can't find anywhere else on employment and economic in the area. He has a circulation of 7,000+, and I believe it's heavier than that during elections. Am I advertising? You won't be disappointed, let's put it that way. Get your copy, he puts it out free. It's a great public service, I might add. Unlike the Time-Tribune, you can believe what is written in it.

OK. Fair enough. If that's your bag, fine. It seemed to me to be a clearly written post, though. But what does the next poster, one of the ones renting the half a brain cell, ask next?

Joe, you taking an ad out again in the Union News?
where do they sell the Union News?

That's right. "Where do they sell it??" And they're bitching about the city being anywhere from $300 million to $1 billion in debt? What sort of financially responsible congregation would pay for free stuff?

And speaking of free, if it is, in fact, FREE, why is a subscription $25?

RE: Joe, you taking an ad out again in the Union News?
While the Union News is put out as a public service, free to those interested, I am sure they would be very appreciative if you were willing to pay the $25 a year subscription and have it mailed directly to your home.

Public support is great, but financial support helps the cause.

Thank you for your time.

Well, hell, I'd be appreciative too, if someone paid me $25 a year to read my free publication. Somewhere, P.T. Barnum smiles...

How much unbiased truthful reporting can there possibly be in a "free" "newspaper" that charges a $25 yearly subscription fee?

Your right Paul ... free usually means free ... but if you want to subscribe it's going to cost $25 ... very interesting indeed.

They never did answer the question as to where someone would pick up this free publication ... they only tell you that if you want to subscribe that it will cost you $25 ...

Does anyone know where you can pick up a FREE copy of the Union News? Not that I want one ... but I have never seen them out there.
