I would never want to be one of the beautiful people ... then I would have all new worries ... you know ... keeping up the perfect appearance ... and not being able to leave my house without perfect makeup and hair ... nails done ... I just don't have time in this world to be bothered with that ... and well I never in my lifetime had a bikini body ... and wouldn't really want one ... at least I know my guy is with me because of who I am and not what I look like ... and hell most important ... I pretty much like me just the way I am (except as you said ... the weight ... but only for health reasons ... not to make me more appealing to the world).

Jees Ag, I use "the B word" here all the time - and certainly didn't mean to offend. You'll probably hear it again from my direction, so please accept this s a half-a$$ed apology in advance. One word you'll not hear from me - it sends me over the EDGE - is "the C word". I'll joke about the See You Next Tuesday stuff, but actually say it? No. If I hear someone else say it? I'll jam it back down their throat.

I really have a problem with those thugs criticizing the pretty people (as I flip my flowing auburn hair over my shoulder). It just makes me have to smile at them (showing all of my natural and perfectly white teeth). When people complain about or make snide comments about my weight, which is 120 on a good day, I feel the need to stand up to my full height of 5'10", turn my perky 38C's away from them and strut my perfect derrier in the opposite direction.

Actually, my nose has grown so much since typing that last paragraph, my stubby little arms can hardly reach my keyboard (isn't THAT a pretty picture???). To be perfectly honest, I'm just like every one else - short for my weight.

I met Judy Gatelli almost 25 years ago and for a short time (way back when) we were quite friendly. I found her to be a woman who took no $hit from anyone. She said what she wanted to say when she wanted to say it. She pulled no punches. She may not be THE perfect council president, but she is a dame who (because of her office ) has to take the $hit that is thrown at her.

I got three lines into that flower child post and almost dozed off. That's what makes me think that it couldn't be anyone BUT Janet Evans. She must have borrowed Jim's thesaurus for some of those big words. Who the hell speaks like that??? She's a jackass in a blonde wig.

I'm from South Side. I have not seen this "huge anti Gatelli effort" that STBU sees 'hapening'. In fact, I've begn to see Gatelli for School Board signs popping up throughout the neighborhood.

Keep in mind, too, that the poster comes from a board who considers maybe a dozen people to be "thousands". Do they have ANY credibility left?

Lus, as usual, they are simply engaged in self-gratification, cloaked in a veil "for the people". When it comes down to it, that's what DD/LoD is all about, and I think it serves each of the players in slightly different ways. Throwing on my amateur Psychologist hat...

Pilchesky can pretend be a man that 'policians fear' with his nuisance lawsuits...what you really have is a man who has thought for all his life that power comes from intimidation...he is wrong...real power...real influence...those things can never be permanently gained through force & intimidation.

Franus can hear herself yelp...mind you the reason is unimportant. She was against the new high school and just about anything else that smells of change and progress. I wonder if she still has a rotary phone? I honestly think she turned elderly in while in her 20's.

Morgan can fancy himself to be a well-spoken professional. He is neither well spoken nor professional in his looks or delivery.

Anti/Jim Davis can have a soap-box for his racist rants. What is the Klan without a rally? He is probably thrilled just to have a venue where his racist rants are tolerated.

Nancy Krake, and I say this with a some sadness, has an outlet for all that anger that seems to be in her life. My advice for Nancy...turn that anger into something positive or be consumed by it.

Les Spindler can 'stick it to the bullies'; as a lanky, nasally teenager little Les probably caught more than his share of grief from others. Now that he has grown, he can do some of the bullying. The circle is complete.

Janet Evans...well it's all about the power. Mind you, she is far different than Pilchesky in how she tries to gain it; unlike Pilchesky Evans actually does know how to play the system, and play it she does. That's how you get the coincidence of her getting a full-time teaching job while happening to serve of the school board. "For the People"? That's simply the slogan de jour for Janet...with that in her pocket she gains an automatic posse of loyal Pilchesky toadies. Mark my words: if she ever gains higher elected office, we will see just how much she continues to 'buck the system for the people'. What the DD sheep don't see is that JANET EVANS IS THE SYSTEM at its very worst.
