It appears that Giovanni Piccolino is not interested in aligning himself with Pilchesky and his band of blubbering retards and does not want to drink the be a Janet Evans robot....now the bald ignoramus is railing against him. In my "OPION" that's more reason to vote for Piccolino. He's smart...he knows that any association with Pilchesky and DD will lead to most level-headed people viewing him in a negative light. This makes me want to order a tray from Buona:
Hold the pepperoni on Piccolino We all know that Giovanni Piccolino and his family have been thrust into an Eminent Domain spotlight, but the question at large is this: Is Mr. Piccolino as equally concerned about the population as he is about himself? I decided to test Mr. Piccolino. Since I'm engaged in many legal challenges agaisnt the city, some of which would get a substantial boost if a business like his jumped on board, I approached Mr. Piccolino and showed him how his particpation could mean a great deal to the people of the City of Scranton. Initially, I got a cool response from him, but I figured I'd give him plenty of time to think about, like two weeks.
I stopped in today to see if Mr. Piccolino was interested in joining a good fight against the corrupt Doherty Administration and thereby establish that he's a candidate for all the people. After all, he's running for a council seat, and a little demonstration that 'the people' are just as important to him as 'he' is to himself is a big deal. He's a new guy on the block, and at 31, he's a young candidate and many things about him are unknown. So, where does his heart and spine stand when given the opportunity to help people who are suffering under this administation? Not with the people. He passed on this opportunity to make a difference. He was pretty wishy washy the way he handled it, too. Very unsure of himself and immature. I didn't like what I saw, especially when I looked into his eyes. There's no hunger in there to be a leader. Just my experience with him on an issue of great public importance, that wasn't important to him.
RE: Hold the pepperoni on Piccolino Joe Pilchesky wrote: ...I stopped in today to see if Mr. Piccolino was interested in joining a good fight against the corrupt Doherty Administration... For the moment, I'm reserving judgement on Mr. Piccolino. He's a young man, working full time, running a political campaign, and already fighting in one whopper of a legal battle against the city. Perhaps he feels that this isn't the best time to join in any other proceedings.
We'll all know more about Mr. Piccolino over the next several weeks as the primary election date approches and the candidates begin to express themselves and reveal their platforms.
Maybe your reservations about Mr. Piccolino are true. You do seem to be a good judge of character. But for now, I hope you'll allow the young man the benefit of the doubt.

RE: Hold the pepperoni on Piccolino Joe, that was my opinion too. I spoke with the candidate and I was concerned he did not have enough understanding of issues other than his own to satisfy me.
I think he's got passion but passion without an understanding of the issues, events and history of how things got to where they are, leads to bad decisions.
I also believe he has too many things on his plate to be totally devoted to the job.
He may make a good candidate after a little seasoning. What he needs is a solid campaign manager who can advise him on where the land mines are, who he should trust and more importantly, who will use him and spit him out. Unfortunately, I don't see one in his grouping and he doesn't have that kind of time to learn.
The city needs its leaders to be on the ball from day one, ready to go head-to-head with the big boys and girl. We've seen what happens when unqualified people get on council and jump in into the presidency. We also have an example of what happens when the uninformed, weak willed and minded are elected. We need to be sure of our candidates first.
He's been burned by the city and that's created passion. Now, he needs to do a little learning and studying. He deserves to be revisited next cycle. In my opinion, always humble and concerned, he's just not ready.

RE: Hold the pepperoni on Piccolino Recently I was at the voter reg office doing some research when mr picolino came in. i left not thinking either way when I got into my car and a car was parked right on my bumper. Low and bheold it was a Mercedes 5 series, white and maybe two years old. I had to wait until that car moved until Icould get out. Mr Pic came out and hopped in his car. Nothing further.
Hold the pepperoni on Piccolino I've already stated on another thread that I don't think he's a Tax Payer 1st kinda guy
maybe it's his age (or lack thereof) or maybe he really is just concerned with his own issues, either way this isn't what the people of Scranton need
There are already enough "ME" 1st rear-ends in the seats governing "MOTHER Scranton"
GP, withdraw your name from consideration, we won't be angry nor will we stop patronizing your shop but we need People who are "FOR THE PEOPLE", we'll make sure that DOH doesn't take your shop but we can't and won't stand for anymore "ME" 1st City Administrators and we can't allow you to split the vote and allow McGoof to slip in through that opening.

RE: Hold the pepperoni on Piccolino I'm sure Gio is a one issue person - Buona Pizza is his issue. I doubt he has the fire, time, or inclination to join the good fight.

I don't want that kind of thinker sitting on council. Besides, his lawyer Boyd Huhges is doing all the work on the case he has with the city, he doesn't have to lift a finger. It's well known that Joe Pilchesky does all of his own leg work and fight these wars up front, and Piccolino reads the paper the same way that we do, so he had so see it was a chance to help Joe and the people out at the same time and he snubbed him and the people. That's all he talks about is himself. He doesn't have an experienced campaign manager, either, otherwise, he'd have pounced on the chance to do something for the people. Joe handed him a gift on a silver platter and he was too selfish with his 'private' issues to help out. That's enough for me. I was torn between Picolino and Andy Sberaglia, but Andy is my man now. Andy runs circles around him with wisdom, experience and knowleddge, anyway.
RE: Hold the pepperoni on Piccolino I heard him on WILK twice, that is a man who is for himself. He never once said what he could do for the people if elected and he had the opportunity. Joe's involved all many things that are good for the people and bad for corruption, if he doesn't have the stomach for life in the trenches, he should withdraw from the race. He'll be a terrible coucilman, that's blaringly obvious. Just because he's pissed over the eminent domain issue doesn't mean he'd step up to the plate for others. We don't even know if the guy ever sponsored a little league team, or anything that would indicate public interest. He showed up at council a few times with a four - five day old beard, too. This is a child in political terms, and he should be strapped into his highchair before he hurts himself or others with his immaturity.
While your thread is a repeat of Paul's, you do get original credit for using the phrase "...band of blubbering retards..." to describe the DD crew. That made me laugh.
