A metal detector at city hall?

The city requires all off-duty officers to carry weapons. Further, many of us who don't work for the city also are either required or wouldn't be without our weapons. There's no prohibition against weapons in city hall for any person with a carry permit, as far as I am aware.

Even further, what provisions are there for storing weapons? Who is guaranteeing their security? Who will be manning the detectors? Is someone going to to deny legally armed personnel their right to access governmental business? On whose authority?

I smell another lawsuit...

Comcast does suck. They suck as bad as city council. You ask them questions and they have no answers and treat you rudely when you have a complaint. That fat lady at the mall was also rude to me. I heard him say that statement at the fund raiser benefit for Ch. 61. I'm not the only person who heard him say that, so I can prove it was said. I was reluctant to post it under the circumstances, but what is, is what is. The question is, what exactly did he mean by that? He's the most aggressive political activists this area has known in terms of actually laying groundwork to take politicians down. Where did that statement come from? He's proved himself to be unmoved by the powers that be, so it's safe to say he's got some kind of ultimate plan in the works to "hurt" people. What people? What kind of hurt? Most importantly. when? I don't expect this post to last long, so don't be bashful to spread the word. He made that statement and others heard it, clearly, as if he meant for them to hear it.

Funny, but all of these things are what was said about our current mayor before he was elected. it's also interesting that even in bringing up what had happened to my son in school in the Queen's son's class, no one has anything to say about that. i heard her speak during a council meeting about nepotism in the City and that it's not what you know, it's who you know. well, i guess it only applies in the City and not the school district. how much time did she have to spend under"deleted" desk to secure the position for her crazy son? since, there's no nepotism in HER life it's strange that he got a position right out of school. Oh, but that doesn't count, because she's all about the people. how many qualified teachers waiting on the list were passed over for him?

Well IHave it's a bit of both ... stupidity and deception ... stupid to leave it up when they have the power to remove it ... and deceitful because they give a warning that it could be heading in a personal direction ... it's not only heading there ... the whole site has been personally directed at public officials for a very long time.

Anything wanted on (insert any name) personally and professionally ... after they post a thread like that for a few days and get a few personal items ... they then change the heading ... the DD site is heading and has always been directed in a personal direction at the request of good old Joe and Jo. That's exactly the direction they want it to take ... and they must think the entire world is stupid if they think we have any other way of looking at what they are doing and what direction it is taking!

Here we go. Joe Pilchesky was observed at the Lackawanna County Prison at about 6:30 am taking pictures of a school bus loading up with inmates. He diligently followed the bus, according to the occupants, to the recycling center where he continued to take pictures of the inmates getting off the bus and going into the main building. I hear he was greeted with the one-finger salute by some of the inmates. The bus driver was not happy about the situation. I don't think it's the bus driver Joe should be concerned about. Does he know who runs the recycling center, I have to wonder?

Pilchesky has been talking about taking the recycling center and the prison into court for some time now over the use of inmates. If he does, it's a direct hit to the DeNaples family. If he wins a lawsuit that removes the inmates, 'hit' just might be the operative word. There's enough for him to graze on around here. Some things are just better off left alone.

I don't care to go into a debate but if everything was left alone wouldn't you be also? What Joe is doing is alerting people to facts, I can see if the inmates were doing manual labor for you and me but their not so what is your point?

The pictures depict inmates boarding a school bus in front of the prison. The same bus takes them to the recycling center. I'd estimate 20 - 25 workers. One guard went with them. He got on last at the prison and off first at the center. The question is clearly obvious. Why are they going to work there? My information is that it is county owned, but privately managed by the Denaples family, which I haven't personally confirmed yet, but I shall. We need to know who has the authority to send them, or who is allowing them to go? I think we can agree that there's something wrong with the picture, no pun intended. Are they a labor contribution included in an agreement? What's the deal? Is it work release? If so, they have to be ON THE BOOKS, in my opinion. What court documents gave Warden Donate the comfort, or the discretion, to allow them to go anywhere to work for anyone? If it's free labor, then under what conditions? Do other businesses get a crack at the same free labor? I shouldn't say free, I understand the center puts $5 a day into their account at the prison. And, if someone gets seriously hurt? Lots of questions with no logical or reasonable answers in sight.................yet, but there will be. I'll post the pictures tomorrow. Warden Donate, the Prison Board and the County Commissioners will be hearing from me soon. Let's see some paperwork that authorizes this deal, and I understand it's been happening for quite a long time. If it's legal, then at least we know. If it's not legal, the days of free labor are over.




Joe did you ever think that the inmates want to work ... want to make a few bucks (although it should be a bit more money) ... get out of the prison ... did you ever think that could be it ... did you ever think that you should have a release signed before you post thier pictures on the www. You could be looking at the business end of a lawsuit ... can you say release form?
