Courtright wants retired old man/war veteran investigated for renting fence space at Moosic St. and Crown Ave.

She denied the city's financial crisis last year and bruising political war with Mayor Chris Doherty over revising a new financial recovery plan left her too politically damaged to win re-election

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

There it is.

Bill Courtright had four, that's four, count them, one, two, three, four years to prepare to win this race.  He's not prepared.

It's the difference between a well planned pregnancy with house, family and finances ready for the new baby and getting knocked up in the men's room at Joyce's Cafe with no plan ready other than, "We have to do something, the baby is coming."

Bill is pregnant, for sure, but there will be no baby.

He's done nothing to defend against the impending attack on his well-known weaknesses with municipal unions and their well-known relationship with at least one Supreme Court win that's going to cost around 12 million. The unions brag of nearly 30 court wins, all good wins, and all of them cost John Q. Public to write a check. John Q. Public is not a member of the union. He's a member of the bill payer club. You know what he thinks about municipal unions? Fvck those unions.

Bill has his dedicated voting block. That's a given. They're Bill lovers/Doherty haters/job and favor seekers if he wins. Randol has her Doherty lovers/Courtright haters/keep my jobbers and contracts. They are the decideds. There's nothing Bill or Liz can do to change their minds. Nothing

Then there are the undecideds, or roughly 3,000 moveable objects who will be moved by the most common denominator in society - MONEY. They decide who the next mayor will be, i.e., swing voters, and all of them reckless. Bill can frolic all day long among his loyalists and they can toast him morning till night. None of that will matter to the undecideds. They see or hear none of it. They do, however, read the paper. Liz can also frolic among her loyalists, sucking up the enthusiasm, but that won't mean a thing to the undecideds, either.

1. Has Bill identified those undecideds?  I have seen or heard nothing to affirm that.

2. How does he reach them if he doesn't know who they are? And, even if he did, what moving message does he offer in preparation for the impending attack upon his well-known capitulations to the municipal unions? And, I'm not saying they weren't worthy capitulations. Most were, but that loyalty works against him now.

3. Liz doesn't have to worry about identifying any of them, or how to reach them, now does she? In fact, with the referendum question heading for the ballot, the turnout will be up, thereby inspiring more undecides to the voting booth. Advantage Liz.

4. Liz's biggest supporter is the incumbent mayor. He's positioned to make promises and deliver on them and/or to make threats and deliver on them, too. See bear cub syndrome and Liz is the mayor's cub.

5. The gun thing was a good issue, but useless when it surfaces in fvcking February. See May.

6. Courtright openly alienated himself from identifiable voting blocks, all anti-Doherty people now eager to punish his betrayal.

7. We, the Doherty hating crowd, will vote for Bill, but we couldn't beat Doherty with limp of dick Gary DiBileo and now we have limp of dick Bill Courtright, so we don't matter. It is the undecideds that matter. Like DiBileo, Courtright has not hardened up to hynpotize the undecideds into voting for him. They'd gladly follow a hero for the little guy if they had one to follow, but they don't.

Shadow, your argument is exactly what the Doherty people love to hear. It works for them. It would work for me, too. It strikes no fear in their hearts because the Doherty people are numbers people. You're not telling them anything they don't know. What they also know is that Courtright, even with years to work on it, has done nothing to pied piper those undecideds into the voting booth to vote for him. NOTHING.

Liz by 6 - 10, unless Courtright has some very aggressive 11th hour attack planned, but that takes money, and it's money he does not have because he did nothing to raise money over the last two years. Lazy and visionless. Does that remind you of anyone?  (Janet Evans?)

PS on the new thread title: "MAYOR'S RACE: Can Courtright overcome ties to the unions who will be blamed for substantial part of city debt?

Joe, you misspelled "are responsible".

THIS IS DOHERTYDECEIT...AND SHE IS DOHERTY'S PICK TO TAKE OVER THE SHOW...BUT IT'S COURTRIGHT WHO SEEMS TO BE GETTING ALL THE HATE...WHAT HAPPENED?

BETRAYAL!! See Roman Empire.

We were all had by Gary, not once but twice. Not happening a third time.

The signs are all there. History is set to repeat itself.

Personally, I'd rather be fvcked over to my face than stabbed in the back.

I can respect it face to face. That's politics. Let the better man win. I'm happy to get the education.

Randol cannot betray me and others like me. We never allowed her into our circle,

openly supported her, gave her money and worked the trenches for her.

That said, she cannot betray us.

Bill Courtright did little to nothing in exposing Doherty. Little to nothing. Yet, he is situated to best benefit from the extraordinary efforts of those who exposed him, you included. And he does it by thumbing his nose to many of those people??? Over my dead body. I don't care about myself. I could care less if Bill won the biggest lottery or was run over by a Mack truck. I do care about how he has and continues to treat others who did the grunt work to expose Doherty.

I saw this little tag line at the end of Paul's post.  "PS on the new thread title: "MAYOR'S RACE: Can Courtright overcome ties to the unions who will be blamed for substantial part of city debt?

Joe, you misspelled "are responsible"."

In case people forgot, or didn't know, the Cops and Firefighters both agreed to contracts with the City well before the Supreme Court decision that will cost the City millions.  Those contract offers included wage increases that were far less than the those awarded by the Supreme Court, and FORGIVENESS of all back pay.  (The awarded 30 million now 15 million dollars the city has to cough up this summer.)

The Unions were eager to sign, as the potential loomed for the Supreme Court to award them nothing.  It was the City of Scranton, Governed by Chris Doherty, and advised by PEL, that refused to sign the contracts.  Union wages would be 10% lower, and there would be no back pay to worry about if Doherty had been less of a tyrant and more of a negotiator.

Don't get me wrong, the Public Safety Unions represent many lazy, incompetent "workers" who get paid just for showing up.   But they cannot be blamed for borrowing money that can't be paid back, building 3 new parking garages that are half full at best, and bloating the city's budget from 56 million in 2002 to over a hundred million today.  (Don't even get me started on the Municipal pension debacle, which should start becoming insolvent in another year. )

A lot of other people, including the candidates themselves, have realized that Pilchecky is not worth spit in the wind, and Joe's pissy about it.

Put on your big boy pants, you sissy, and accept the fact that you Simply.  Don't.  Matter.

To anyone.

Even Franus.

Pick one:

1. I want another four years of Doherty; or

2. With Doherty gone this board fades into the sunset.

I'm not sure about what might fade into the sunset, although it sounds romantic if you can pull it off, but Dohertydeciet.com's days are numbered. The SS Doherty has been sunk, and the SS Dohertydeceit.com will rest in peace at the bottom right along side of him the day I pull the plug. And that happens no matter who wins this primary. And here's a clue, you won't be reading Dohertydeceit.com for any information regarding the November general election, regardless of who wins the primary election.

I have no hard-on for Bill Courtright. I'll take him and his family for dinner tonight. This is politics. It's the side of the tracks I work and he has known what side of the tracks I work for years now, like 8 years. If I was Bill Courtright, knowing there's a Joe Pilchesky and Dohertydeceit.com out there, I would  have prepared for this race by ensuring I gave him nothing to work with. He failed to prepare against that. Hey, think back, for as much as I was a Janet lover, and make no mistake, I still am, when her dogs got off the leash I was the first in line to kick their asses, and her's. That's politics. Also, if I was Bill Courtright, I would have knocked on Joe Pilchesky's door and thanked him for all he's done over the years and asked for his help to get elected to the office of mayor. I wouldn't have told Joe Pilchesky to go fvck himeslf. Nor Janet Evans. It's a slippery slope to begin with, why make it more slippery, but that's what he did. We'll see how it plays out, but the the slope is now extremely slippery and Bill Courtright made it that way. It didn't have to be.

There are sound reasons why I refer to Bill Courtright as stupid. Betrayers, like Bill, can do a lot of things, like control the extent of the betrayal, but they cannot control the response. Bill Courtright is stupid. Period!!!  You want a man that stupid for mayor? Vote for him.

Yawn.....

Ouch.  When you can't even get your best Toadie to care, then you know it's time to put the Wheaties bowl away.
