This was bound to happen. Divide and conquer from the inside out. This is why General Douglas McArther had to be reassigned to Italy from the war front in Russia. He disagreed with General Dwight Eisenhower on every concept of attack. Dougie was a schoolyard bully. Dwight was a diplomat, paper hanger. The bullies in the Doherty camp are now telling the more diplomatic Randol that the time is here to plan the seedy attack on Courtright. Randol, it seems, is a "you push me first" kind of candidate. She doesn't want to attack Courtright as the Doherty camp has laid it out. The Doherty camp, however, reminds Randol where the bread is buttered and who butters it, which is not moving Randol off her style. I'm told Randol is also a nervous wreck over nomination petitions and invalid signatures. She's right in fearing that they will be attacked if there are issues. Chances are pretty good I'll be joining in the attack. If that's not enough, Randol is pissed that she was advised to publicly respond to the gun incident. The response should properly have been limited to a well written response. Instead, she got on the air with Steve Corbett and pissed all over herself from beginning to end. There's a lot of "my way or the highway" in Liz Randol. Indeed, don't be too shocked if she takes the highway. It won't be the first time.

I'm no war General, but I can easily process that the longer the Bombers wait to take off under limited time restraints that are indentifiable, then the easier it is for the targets to evacuate and/or be well-prepared with ground to air missles. Getting bombers off the ground under circumstances that now prevail won't be a problem. Hitting the targets and returning to base in one piece might be. How many bombers can Courtright afford after the first three never return to base? Smart campaign to wait until the eleventh hour to strike. Personally, I would have never thought of that. Randol's camp will be totally taken by surprise.
